The membrane is integrated and has 200 µm openings. 98 micro-perforated hole fields, each 3 mm in diameter, are arranged in rings around the 5.5 mm centre hole.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe surface carries the Nanoquartz coating patented by IMS, recognisable by its iridescent sheen. It is water-repellent and completely smooth, without rough spots where coffee oils can settle. The used puck comes away more easily and the screen is clean faster.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWhat this does in the puck: the water reaches the coffee bed everywhere at the same time, and the more than 800 aroma compounds are dissolved to a similar degree across the whole surface.
