A bottomless portafilter, also known as a naked portafilter, is an essential tool for any quality-oriented barista. Our bottomless portafilters are made of high-quality 304 stainless steel and feature aluminum alloy or premium walnut handles, ensuring both durability and a beautiful appearance. The standard basket holds 16 to 18 grams of ground coffee; we offer a 22-gram basket for the La Specialista model.
Please note that splashing may occur when using a bottomless portafilter, especially if channeling occurs. This is not a defect of the portafilter, but rather indicates potential for optimization in the preparation, for example, regarding grind size, tamping, or distribution of the coffee grounds.
When cleaning, we recommend not putting the portafilter in the dishwasher, not using strong detergents, and not soaking it overnight to avoid damage to the material.
