It is designed for tamper bases with a diameter of 56 to 59 millimetres and is matt chrome-plated – the same finish as the lower clamping ring of the same family.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIf the clamping works loose, the base shifts a few tenths of a millimetre to the side when tamping. On the puck you see this as a slanted top edge; in a bottomless portafilter, as a stream that starts earlier on one side.
