Next to it is a brewer that is neither espresso nor classic pour-over, but something in between. Two devices, both designed for that one clean single-dose moment.
The bundle combines the Acaia Orbit – a single-dose grinder with 64mm flat burrs and optional grind-by-weight – with the Weber Workshops Bird, a no-bypass vacuum brewer. The Orbit doses precisely, the Bird brews in the range between espresso and filter. Both bear the signature of Weber Workshops and are tuned for fresh single-dosing.
The Orbit grinds with 64mm flat burrs, optionally with Mazzer 33M, SSP Multi-Purpose, or SSP Lab Sweet V3. Its RPM-Stability-Control keeps the rotational speed constant, regardless of how many beans are currently in the system – this keeps heat and noise low and particle distribution even. The RPM can be set from 600 to 1500 via the app, saved in three presets, and quickly switched between filter and espresso using Reverse-and-Adjust.
Grinding is done with minimal retention thanks to Auto-Purge. If you own an Acaia Lunar, you unlock true Grind-by-Weight: The grinder communicates with the scale and automatically stops at the target weight. Without Lunar, you grind by time – also precisely. Which burr is the "right" one remains a matter of taste; that's our opinion, one of many.
The Bird is Weber Workshops' first brewer – a no-bypass vacuum brewer where all the water passes through the coffee bed, none bypasses it. Negative pressure creates a full-bodied, complex cup in the field between espresso and pour-over. For the Bird, you grind slightly finer than for classic filter, and slightly coarser than for espresso.

No. Without Lunar, you grind time-based, which works well. With Lunar, you unlock true Grind-by-Weight: The Orbit automatically stops at the target weight. The Lunar is available separately in our Acaia Collection.
Mazzer 33M for classic, full-bodied espresso profiles; SSP Multi-Purpose for more clarity and lighter roasts; SSP Lab Sweet V3 as an all-rounder between espresso and filter. What suits best depends on your beans and your taste – our recommendation is one of many.
The Bird is a no-bypass vacuum brewer for full-bodied, complex cups between espresso and pour-over. With the Orbit, you grind appropriately dosed and slightly finer than for classic filter.

As a coffee roastery, we like how quietly and consistently the Orbit works. For espresso with Mazzer burrs, a full-bodied roast like Nutty Delight or Cozy Chocolate comes out beautifully; those experimenting with the Bird and lighter profiles will discover clear nuances with SSP burrs and a fruity Wild Peach.
