How chance turned into passion – and passion into community

The Coffee Coaching Club was never intended to be a business. Really, it wasn't.

In the beginning, there was no business plan, no growth strategy, and certainly not the idea of ​​getting rich. In the beginning, there was a house. A house we wanted to live in – and which contained a business. A business we couldn't simply rent out. So we asked ourselves: What suits us? What feels right?

The answer came very quietly. And it smelled of coffee.

What followed wasn't one big step, but many small ones. One of them was a tamper. And not just any tamper, but the Normcore Tamper . A damn good tool – which simply wasn't available in Switzerland. The manufacturer himself eventually said: "Why don't you just import it yourselves?"

And that's exactly how it started.

Not out of calculation, but out of need. Not because we saw a market, but because we wanted something that wasn't available here. So we started offering coffee products that weren't otherwise available in Switzerland. And that's exactly what we've been doing ever since. Always with the same goal: to offer you as much choice as possible – nothing more, nothing less.

We won't get rich from it. But we will certainly be rich in encounters, conversations, and shared learning experiences.

Our values ​​in everyday life

Our philosophy is evident even where things might not always be convenient. We repair instead of throwing away. We test devices before selling them. We help you use them correctly because we know that technology is only enjoyable when you understand it. And yes: you pay for return shipping. Not because we're trying to shirk our responsibility – but because we firmly believe we're all in this together. Sharing responsibility is just as important to us as good coffee.

Social commitment: Our partnership with the Enzian Foundation

For us, responsibility goes beyond the cup. In collaboration with the Enzian Foundation – a Zurich-based institution for vocational integration – we create real opportunities for people with health impairments. What this means in concrete terms:

• Practical training opportunities within the company: Employees of the Enzian Foundation work directly with us – in the warehouse, shipping, and roastery. Not a token project, but a lived reality.
• Active reintegration: We support the transition back to the primary labor market with structured coaching, real tasks and individual support throughout the entire process.
• Permanent employment as the goal: A trial period is not the end of the line for us. We always try to create a permanent position at the Coffee Coaching Club afterwards – with fair wages and real career prospects.
• Local value creation: As a Swiss specialist retailer with locations in Bern and Zurich, we strengthen the regional economy and social inclusion directly on site.

The Coffee Coaching Club is not an anonymous online shop. It consists of showrooms full of equipment and tools. Of coffee shops, warehouses, team members. Of time. Time that we dedicate to you. All in Switzerland. With you. For you.

Our prices are set so that we can cover our costs here. Fair margins, so we can stay. So that we can repair, advise, test, and support you. So that we can offer you not just products, but experiences.
