You want to dive deeper into the world of coffee – whether as a home barista who wants to better understand their own machine, as a team looking for a creative workshop, or as a café owner who wants to train their staff. Coffee Coaching Club offers practical coffee workshops and team events in Bern and Zurich – in German or English.
Our workshops combine two worlds: in-depth flavor chemistry from our roasting practice (our team brings a trained flavorist and chemistry perspective with over a decade of experience in industrial flavor development) and gastronomic hospitality (Anke leads the workshops as a host and coach with gastronomic experience). This combination shapes every session: technically sound, sensually experienced, with room for exchange.
For everyone who wants to better understand their own espresso machine. Content: machine operation, grind size calibration, tamping technique, steaming technique for microfoam, latte art basics, cleaning workflow. You can bring your own machine – or work with the showroom machines.
For teams who want to explore the world of coffee together – as a team-building activity, creative event, or company gift. Workshops are adapted to your group size and prior experience. From beginner's cappuccino to specialty coffee tasting with in-depth flavor chemistry.
For café teams: training on your own machine, workflow optimization, calibration strategies, latte art, cleaning. Bonus: When you purchase a La Marzocco, you receive a free Barista Workshop for your team (one location, up to three team members, in German or English).
Comparative tasting of different roasts, single origins, and brewing methods. The aroma analysis guides you through fruit, chocolate, nut, and caramel profiles – systematically experienced and named. For everyone who wants to expand their coffee flavor vocabulary.
Focus on milk foam, texturing, and the actual pouring. From the first heart to the Rosetta. Have your own machine at home? Bring it along, so what you learn can be applied directly to your own setup.
Three characteristics define the CCC workshops. First, the in-depth flavor chemistry: from our roasting practice and experience in flavor development, an unusual perspective on coffee emerges – how flavors develop during roasting, which volatile substances characterize which beans, how extraction influences the aroma profile. Second, the host-like atmosphere: Anke ensures physical well-being and a connected mood. Third, the roasting practice: We are a roastery ourselves and bring beans from our own production into the workshops – not abstract theory, but concrete profiles that you can then brew yourself.
For home baristas who want to take their own machine to the next level. For teams looking for a creative, sensory event. For café owners who want to train staff. For coffee lovers who want to deepen their flavor vocabulary. For beginners as well as advanced participants – we adapt the content to your level. You decide, no pressure, no upselling.
After the workshop: further build up your own setup equipment. Coffee machines, grinders, barista tools. For bean variety: our coffee beans from our own roastery. For filter methods: filter equipment. For gifts: bundles or gift vouchers.
Depending on the format, number of participants, and duration. For individual inquiries, contact us – we will make an offer that suits the occasion and group.
For home baristas, individual or small groups. For team events, typically 4–18 people. For larger groups, we discuss individually.
Showroom Bern (Gerberngasse 44) or Zurich Oerlikon (Hagenholzstrasse 50b). For on-site café training or team events, we are happy to come to you.
German or English. No problem for international teams.
Nothing. If you want to bring your own machine, please contact us beforehand. Otherwise, we work with the showroom machines. You can bring your own beans, but we also provide our house roasts.
Write to us briefly with your request (format, group, date). We will get back to you with a proposal.
Classic SCA cupping plus flavor chemistry classification – we name what you taste and explain why these flavors developed in this bean. Our roasting practice and the team's experience in flavor development provide a more analytical perspective on taste. For many participants, this is a new approach to coffee.
