As the only Flair partner in Switzerland, we bring you manual lever machines without electricity – pure espresso craftsmanship with full pressure control, available in Bern and Zurich.
Do you remember the first time you drank really good espresso? That moment when you realized: coffee can be an experience.
Flair brings back this experience – but this time YOU are the barista.
Imagine this: You pour hot water into the brew cylinder. You feel the warmth. You lift the lever, feel the resistance as the water is forced through the puck. You control the pressure – slow build-up, gentle pre-infusion, then a powerful push.
This isn't just pushing a button. This is craftsmanship. And it makes you happy – even if (or especially because) it takes practice.
As a coffee roastery, we work with temperature curves and chemical reactions. We understand that control enables optimization – and we also know that the best equipment brings the most joy.
Manual control
The facts: With Flair, you control the pressure manually. This allows for pressure profiling – starting gently with light roasts (6 bar pre-infusion), then increasing the pressure (9 bar extraction). Different roast levels have different solubility – manual control adjusts accordingly.
The truth is: Do you need it? No. But that feeling of "building" each shot, shaping it with your hands – that's the real magic. Science plus soul.
No electricity required
The facts: Only hot water is needed. Works anywhere – kitchen, camping, office. No reliance on electronics, no risk of breakdowns.
The truth is: The freedom to make great espresso anywhere is liberating. But mostly: It's just cool. Independence plus style.
The learning curve
The facts: Flair has a steep learning curve. The first few weeks are frustrating – shots too fast, too slow, too sour, too bitter. But you'll learn more about espresso than with any automatic machine.
The truth: Yes, it's difficult. But the first perfect shot YOU pulled? Priceless. Challenge plus triumph.
You don't need Flair. But if you enjoy the process (not just the result), appreciate manual craftsmanship, are willing to invest time, and see espresso as a ritual – then Flair might be just right for you.
Or maybe you simply want it because it's beautiful. Because you want to smile when you pull the lever in the morning. Because it feels right. That's reason enough.
Flair needs a very good coffee grinder – we recommend Varia single-dose grinders for maximum freshness. Combine Flair with Acaia scales for precise dosing and track your shots in the app.
Discover online: Every model in our webshop is explained honestly – from the entry-level model to the professional 58mm machine. We cover learning curves, challenges, and possibilities. We show videos of how WE use Flair.

Roastery tip: Start with medium-roasted beans – they're more forgiving while you learn the technique. Once you've mastered it, experiment with light, fruity roasts. Manual pressure control truly shines with complex Ethiopian or Kenyan coffees – pressure profiling brings out nuances that are lost with static pressure.
In a world that is becoming faster and more complicated, filter coffee offers an invitation to slow down, pause and enjoy the pure, unadulterated aroma of coffee.
Brew espresso anywhere like a pro. This product is the highest level of manual espresso machines.
