What makes the Espazzola special

Traditional brew group cleaning with a brush and cloth is tedious, sometimes dangerous (hot brew group), and never completely thorough. The Espazzola takes a different approach: the tool is clamped into the brew group like a portafilter, hot water is run through, and a flexible membrane presses against all internal surfaces of the brew group, wiping away coffee oils and residues simultaneously. The dirty water is safely directed into the drip tray.

The Espazzola 2+3-58 is the second generation. It replaces the fixed cam construction of the first version with clip-on stainless steel wire clips – this allows it to fit brew groups from various manufacturers (La Marzocco, Profitec, ECM, Rocket, Slayer, Wega, Bezzera, and others). The optimized membrane conforms better, and the funnel under the cup precisely drains the dirty water.

Compatibility

Suitable for professional and semi-professional machines with a tamper diameter of 56–58 mm and a portafilter outer diameter of 69 mm or more. This covers most machines from Astoria, Bezzera, Cimbali, Faema, ECM, La Marzocco, Profitec, Rancilio, Rocket, Slayer, and Wega.

Important exceptions (Espazzola does NOT fit): Bezzera Hobby until 2014, Lelit Anna/Anita/Diana/Grace, Ascaso Dream/Arc/Basic (Ascaso Dream PID does fit), Breville/Sage, Decent Espresso, Graef, Illy Francis, La Pavoni Domus Bar/Casa, Vibiemme Lollo, as well as various QuickMill models (3030/3035/0820/0835/Pippa/Orione/Silvano). If you are unsure, we will check the compatibility of your machine with you.

Membrane Maintenance

The flexible membrane is the wear part of the Espazzola. It will wear down slightly over time. To maintain consistent cleaning performance, it should be replaced regularly with a new one. The replacement membrane is available for both the current 2+3-58 version and is backward compatible with the first version (2-58).
