Which wood for my machine?
A matter of personal taste. Walnut: dark, warm, classic. Oak: light, clearly grained. Ash: light with fine grain. For dark machines (black/anthracite), a light oak/ash contrast is striking. For stainless steel machines, warm-toned walnut works well.
Are wooden handles high-maintenance?
Not very. Occasionally (1–2 times a year) rubbing with food-grade oil or wood wax keeps the wood silky. Do not put in the dishwasher, do not soak in water for extended periods.
Does Wiedemann fit every machine?

How do wood types differ in feel?
