Wood on portafilters, rotary knobs and brew lever: the Wiedemann handle set elegant replaces the handles of ECM machines with rotary knobs with parts in solid walnut. Order online, click & collect in Bern and Zurich.
The set is made in the Wiedemann workshop in Germany. According to Wiedemann, the solid hardwood parts are firmly screwed together and the threads are made of rust-free stainless steel. Wood is a natural material, so grain and colour differ slightly from piece to piece.
The set contains two complete portafilters with handle, end cap and portafilter head, two rotary knobs with the aluminium plates «ACQUA» and «VAPORE», and a brew lever with end cap. Brew group, temperature and extraction stay as they are. The set changes how the machine feels and how it looks on the counter. Our opinion is one of many.

Does the handle set fit my ECM?
Wiedemann lists ECM Mechanika IV, Mechanika V Slim, Mechanika VI Slim, Technika IV, i.e. models with two rotary knobs. There are separate sets for the ECM Classika with one rotary knob and for models with toggle levers. If you are unsure, send us a photo of your machine before ordering at [email protected].
What is included in the set?

Does the handle set change the espresso?
No. The wooden parts replace handles and controls. Brew group, temperature and extraction stay unchanged.

Tip from the roastery: We weigh every shot and start at 1:2, around 18 g of ground coffee to 36 g of espresso. In the ECM we like brewing Cozy Chocolate and Nutty Delight best, dense and full-bodied with notes of chocolate and nuts. For maximum body without acidity we go for Very Nutty.
