Wiedemann stainless steel portafilter head E61, single spout
Beneath the group, the espresso runs through a single spout straight into one cup. The Wiedemann portafilter head is made of stainless steel for E61 groups, available to order online with Click & Collect in Bern and Zurich.
The head is the business end of the portafilter: it holds the basket, locks into the group and guides the espresso to the spout. You screw the handle on via the M12 thread; it is not part of this item.
The head does not change how your machine extracts. What counts are grind size, basket and the brew ratio, with 1:2 as a starting point. The single spout directs the whole shot into one cup, while a bottomless portafilter shows what happens in the basket. Both have their place. Our opinion is one of many.
