Lagom P64 or P80?

P64: 64 mm flat burrs, more compact, well-established, significantly more affordable option. P80: 80 mm flat burrs, larger grinding surface, maximum aromatic separation, competition level. For home setups with specialty demands, the P64 is often the balanced choice.

Upgrade with SSP Burrs?

Yes. Option-O is explicitly built for burr upgrade paths. You can upgrade with cast burrs (classic character with body) or high-uniformity burrs (filter clarity). When ordering, let us know which burr character interests you.

How does the single-dose workflow work?

Weigh the amount of beans beforehand (typically 18 g for a double shot), place them in the single-dose hopper, grind, and everything comes out as a weighed dose at the bottom. Advantage over hopper workflow: no grind retention carryover when changing beans.

How loud is Option-O?

Home-level – the single-dose design is relatively compact. For even quieter alternatives: Eureka Mignon Silenzio, but then not as single-dose and not with large flat burrs.
