How to Plan Your Flate Setup
First: Counter or Wall. Should your tamping setup be on the counter (no drilling, mobile) or mounted on the wall (permanent, visually tidy)? For counter: Barista Station or Stand Mini. For wall: Barista Board, Rack or Rack Mini.
Second: Size. How many portafilters and tools do you need within reach at the same time? Two holders are sufficient for a classic home single-setup (Station / Stand Mini / Rack Mini). Three holders for an ambitious home-setup with multiple baskets (Board or Rack).

Which color suits me?
Black (RAL 9004) and White (RAL 9003) are the most combination-safe standard variants. Orange (RAL 2004) as a conscious color accent for setups with character. Glimmer Light Grey (080 80 05) and Pastel Grey Green (140 80 10) as calmer design tonal options. All models are delivered with a front plate of the same color and combined with the oiled oak wooden strip.
How does the magnetic wooden strip work?
The strip made of oiled European oak has built-in magnets. It keeps metallic tools (tamper, distribution tool, WDT) within reach and simultaneously serves as an adjustable spacer so that the portafilter sits cleanly in the holder. The strip can be placed in the desired position.
How is the Magnetic Barista Towel used?
The towel has a strong neodymium magnet in a silicone corner. You magnetically attach it to the machine, your Flate shelf or other metallic surfaces – without scratches. This way it is always within reach for steam wand, portafilter, drip tray. 500 gsm waffle microfiber absorbs strongly, machine washable at 30 °C.
How are Flate wall shelves mounted?
Wall shelves (Board, Rack, Rack Mini, Towel Rack, Storage Shelf) are mounted with 4×40 mm screws, 6 mm Fischer dowels and included screw caps – all included in the scope of delivery. The magnetic wooden strip is placed in the desired position. Counter stations (Barista Station and Stand Mini) stand stably on the work surface with adhesive pads, no drilling required.
How do I care for the steel surface?
The powder-coated steel surfaces are robust and insensitive. Clean with warm water and mild detergent. Avoid aggressive cleaning agents or steel wool. Always test new cleaning agents in an inconspicuous area before applying them to a large surface.
Where is Flate manufactured?
