Rhino Classic Milk Pitcher 600 ml – stainless steel pitcher for latte art

The milk begins to sing, spinning smooth and glossy in the pitcher, and with a gentle tilt the first white thread settles into the dark crema. A short flick of the wrist – and where there was nothing a moment ago, a heart or a leaf grows. It's for exactly this moment that this pitcher sits in your hand.

Simple, sturdy, with a clear pouring spout: the Classic shape that simply does what it should.

What happens when frothing

Good milk foam is created in two phases. First you draw in air, right at the beginning, when the steam wand hisses just below the surface – that's the moment when volume is created. Then you dip deeper, and the milk begins to rotate: the coarse bubbles become silky microfoam.

Behind it is biology. The milk's proteins wrap around the fine air bubbles and stabilize them, the fat gives the foam its velvety density. And the shape of the pitcher helps determine how calmly this vortex turns and how fine the stream runs from the spout in the end. The Classic has a balanced, classic spout – made for learning as well as for everyday pouring.

Latte art is not a law but a game. There's no right and no wrong – in the end, what counts is that the cup tastes good and brings you joy. Our opinion is one of many.

Who it's for

For anyone starting out with latte art or simply looking for a reliable pitcher for every day. The 600 ml size comfortably covers two milk drinks or large cups. No frills, no hurdle – you pick it up and get going.

What to combine it with

In the end, the foam is made by the steam wand. Which machine suits you, from the compact one for the coffee corner to the La Marzocco, you'll find in our espresso machines – and if you're unsure, our consultation tool guides you there in a few steps.

If you're looking for more shapes later: affordable and precise are the pitchers of the Normcore Collection, while the pitchers of the Weber Workshops Collection cover the finer, weightier side. And beneath the milk, the coffee makes the difference – dense, full-bodied espresso beans carry milk drinks particularly beautifully.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which size should I choose?

The 600 ml variant is a good all-rounder: large enough for two cappuccinos or one large cup, without becoming unwieldy. If you mostly froth just a small cup, a smaller pitcher is more pleasant, because less milk is easier to texture.

Is the pitcher dishwasher-safe?

The bare stainless steel of the Classic is easy to care for. It stays looking good longest if you briefly rinse and dry it after frothing, so no milk residue dries on.

Is it also suitable for learning latte art?

Yes, especially for that. The classic spout gives you an even, controllable stream – ideal for practicing your first hearts and rosettes and gaining confidence.

Can I see the pitcher in person before buying?

Gladly. In our showrooms in Bern (Gerberngasse 44) and Zurich (Hagenholzstrasse 50b) you can experience it live. Online, we deliver in 2–4 business days, throughout Switzerland and to Liechtenstein.

Tip from our coffee roastery

Milk and chocolate notes are an old, happy pair. Our Cozy Chocolate and Nutty Delight stay present under frothed milk, with sweetness and body that don't get lost. If you like it very round and without acidity, take the Very Nutty; and for a brighter, fruity experience, the Wild Peach is worth it. That's our recommendation – one of many.
