Note: These recommendations are based on extraction research (Ribes 2020/2021, Hendon et al. 2020, IMS/VST comparison data, Coffee ad Astra) and our daily experience in the CCC roastery. Every setup is different — the recommendations are starting points, not guarantees. Test different baskets in our showrooms in Zurich and Bern.
Scientific Basis: Ribes/Coffee ad Astra (2020–2021) — Puck edges are systematically underextracted with standard baskets. IMS Precision Baskets show 25–30 ml/sec flow vs. 9–12 ml/sec with standard (9Barista Testing). VST 40-shot comparison: Precision baskets halve shot-to-shot variability.
