On the work surface, on the rim of the sieve, on the outside of the basket. You wipe it away, do it again, and in the end, 2 grams are lost, and the counter is dusty. The Olympia Dosing Funnel solves exactly this problem: a stainless steel funnel that is placed on top of the portafilter and directs everything the grinder spits out centrally into the 49mm sieve. Clean counter, full dose, less frustration.
Freshly ground coffee is statically charged and flees to all surfaces – without a funnel, that's a law of nature. The funnel catches the static scatter and directs the grounds directly into the sieve. What ends up in the sieve is exactly what you dosed. For brew ratio precision (e.g. 1:2 or 1:2.5), this is a real advantage – you have the grams in the sieve that you wanted.
Anyone who has ever wiped down a wooden counter after making espresso and found fine coffee dust in every crevice knows why a funnel is more than just comfort. It's cleanliness – especially in setups where the grinder is directly on the workspace.
Stainless steel, precisely manufactured, perfectly fitting for the 49mm Cremina portafilter. From Schwanden, like the machine itself. No plastic compromises, no mass-produced item.

We also offer three price ranges for funnels that cover different needs – all three work, but they differ mainly in workmanship, material, and precision of fit.
The Normcore Dosing Funnel is the affordable standard solution. Magnetic or plug-in, stainless steel, significantly cheaper than Olympia or Weber. Functionally, it does its job without ifs or buts. For anyone who simply wants a clean filling result without a premium surcharge, this is the honest choice.
This funnel here. Precisely manufactured, perfectly fitting for the Cremina portafilter, from Schwanden. For all who want the entire Cremina setup to be seamless. Aesthetically consistent with the machine, significantly higher quality workmanship than the affordable options.
The Weber Workshops Dosing Cup works differently: not a classic funnel that is placed on top, but a cup in which you dose directly into the grinder and then precisely pour into the sieve. Anti-static coating, precise geometry, significantly more expensive. For workflows where every brew ratio needs to be reproduced precisely, this is endgame level.
Our opinion: For classic home setups, the Normcore funnel is functionally sufficient in 90% of cases. Those who want to keep the Olympia setup consistent choose this funnel. Those who work with the Acaia Lunar and Weber tampers and want to hit every brew ratio precisely will noticeably benefit from the Weber Dosing Cup.
For Cremina owners who want clean filling and value Swiss manufacturing. Those who are still experimenting and just want to see if a funnel improves the workflow can do so with the cheaper Normcore tool. But if you know that a funnel is part of your setup and you want a tool for years that matches your Swiss manufactured machine, this is the right place.
Original tamper Cremina 49 mm (red or black) from the Olympia Express Collection. Tamping mat: affordable from the Normcore Collection or a Swiss original also from Olympia. Puck Prep Tool 49 mm: Olympia original or Normcore WDT-Tool, Premium the Moonraker from the Weber Workshops Collection. For grind quality: Grinder Collection. For precise dosing: Acaia scales.
You take the portafilter out of the machine, place the funnel on top of the sieve, place everything under the grinder and grind directly into it. The funnel catches the grounds and directs them into the sieve. After grinding, remove the funnel, use a Puck Prep Tool or WDT tool, tamp, brew.
Need is relative. If you use the machine twice a week and don't need to hit every gram precisely, you can do without it. If you make espresso daily, work with precise brew ratios (e.g. 18g in → 36g out) and don't feel like wiping the counter daily, a funnel will noticeably improve your quality of life.
Functionally very similar. The Olympia tool is Swiss manufactured with a precise fit for the Cremina sieve, the Normcore tool is Asian mass production with magnetic adhesion or a plug-in mechanism. Both direct grounds cleanly into the sieve. The price difference mainly reflects the place of manufacture and workmanship.
Wash under warm water or in the dishwasher. Stainless steel is heat and dishwasher safe. Static charge of the grounds can be reduced by occasionally rinsing the funnel briefly with warm water – this reduces triboelectricity for the next grinding process.

Anyone who makes espresso daily with the Cremina will benefit from a funnel more than most expect. It's less about the one or two grams of grounds that no longer fall next to it – it's about the workflow. The portafilter stands stably under the grinder, the funnel focuses the stream, and after grinding, the counter is clean. This becomes one of those small rituals that you eventually can't do without. For the bean, we recommend our Cozy Chocolate for the Cremina – dense, chocolatey, perfect for the lever-operated extractions of the Cremina.
