Hypernova is titanium-coated with a higher edge hardness (HRC65). This brings more definition and clarity as well as longer-lasting sharp cutting edges compared to the standard Supernova burrs.

Yes, for both. For espresso, clean, sweet shots with body; for filter, clarity and sweetness.
Does the swap work without any modification?
Yes, 58 mm flat burrs are the standard format for the VS6. After the swap, just readjust the grind size briefly.
