Rocket Bicocca – Dual Boiler Espresso Machine
Your hand rests on the group head, a tap on the touch display, and the programmed shot begins. Two separate, insulated boilers hold brew and steam temperature stable independently – the Bicocca is a handcrafted dual boiler with a saturated brew group, available in chrome and black.
Coffee Coaching Club is a partner of Rocket in Switzerland. When you buy, our private barista course is included (in German or English, in Bern or Zürich), where we introduce you to extraction and the espresso ritual.
All Features at a Glance
Dual Boiler, Insulated
Separate, insulated boilers for brewing (600 ml) and steaming (1000 ml) – stable temperatures and steam on demand, even through many milk drinks in a row.
Saturated Brew Group
The saturated group is directly coupled to the brew boiler. In our experience, this delivers a particularly calm, refined aroma profile – that's our observation, others see it differently.
Touch Display on the Group Head
Two programmable shots and control right on the group head – everything in view, right where you work.
Rotary Pump, Tank or Plumbed-In
Quiet operation via the rotary pump, with either a tank or a direct water connection.

Who It's For
For everyone who wants separate insulated boilers, a saturated group, and control right on the group head. A dual boiler like this doesn't make measurably better espresso for the vast majority than a good heat exchanger machine – but it gives you control, steam reserve, and a presence on the counter. Either you want it, or you don't. Both are legitimate.
What Goes With It
A grinder that can keep up, from the Eureka grinders or the Weber Workshops grinders; an affordable way in via the Varia Collection. Tampers and distributors in the Tamper Collection, scales at Acaia or Normcore. To help you decide, check out our Machine Comparison.
Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between the Bicocca and the R Cinquantotto?
Both are dual boilers from Rocket. The Bicocca has a saturated brew group and the touch display right on the group head with programmable shots. The R Cinquantotto uses the E61 group and a separate control pod.
Is a direct water connection possible?
Yes, the Bicocca runs on either a tank or a direct water connection.
Can I see the machine before buying it?
Yes, in our showrooms in Bern and Zürich. For this machine, we recommend picking it up in person. Delivery across Switzerland and to Liechtenstein in 2–4 business days, financing available via Heylight.
Roastery Tip
A saturated group draws out delicate aromas calmly. Our Cozy Chocolate turns dense and chocolatey; anyone looking for complexity discovers the Nutty Delight. That's our recommendation, one among many.
