You place it centrally on the weighing platform, the display quickly counts up and settles at 100.0 – and with that, in seconds, you have the assurance that your scale is once again showing what’s truly accurate.
It is the unassuming standard measure by which your measurements are aligned day after day.
Every scale drifts over time – temperature, slight inclination, and vibrations affect the sensor. With a defined reference weight, you bring it back on point: place it on, start calibration, done. The 100g weight is the common standard measure used to quickly calibrate most Acaia scales.
Acaia manufactures it from stainless steel to a standard equivalent to class F2 – with a tight tolerance of approximately ± 0.0015 grams. The logo and value are cleanly laser-engraved on the top and side, so you never confuse it. With a diameter of approximately 29 millimeters and a height of 20 millimeters, it is compact enough to keep within reach next to the scale. It is compatible with Acaia scales like Pearl, Pearl S, and Lunar, and is also suitable for grinders with integrated scales. Whether you calibrate regularly is up to you; this is just our view, one of many.

The 100g weight is for anyone who wants to trust their scale over time – both at home and in daily operation. It is the convenient standard measure for regular calibration. If you want to calibrate at a higher point of the measuring range or with a case for on the go, you can also find the 500g weight in our Acaia Collection. At our store, every coffee journey is welcome.
You can find suitable scales and the larger 500g weight in our Acaia Collection. If you operate a grinder with an integrated scale, you can also calibrate it with this – a look at our coffee grinders is worthwhile. Unsure what suits your setup? Our consultation tool can help.
With a known reference weight, you can adjust your scale so that it accurately displays what is placed on it again. The 100g weight is the common standard measure for regular calibration.
With Acaia scales like Pearl, Pearl S, and Lunar, as well as with other precise scales that can be calibrated using a 100-gram reference, such as grinders with integrated scales.
It is made of stainless steel (model AA004, Ø 29 mm, height 20 mm) and corresponds to accuracy class F2 with a tolerance of approximately ± 0.0015 grams.
The 100g weight is the compact standard measure for everyday calibration. The 500g weight allows for calibration at a higher point of the measuring range and comes with a case. You can find both in our Acaia Collection.
We like to keep a 100g weight right next to the scale – that way, the quick calibration before the first shot is done before you change your mind. For the espresso afterward, we often reach for Cozy Chocolate and Nutty Delight – full-bodied, sweet, dense. If you like it full and round without any acidity, stick with Very Nutty; for a fruity experience, Wild Peach goes into the grinder. This is our recommendation, one of many, and any bean you like is the right one.
