Hario Coffee Siphon NEXT 600 ml – Modern Vacuum Brewer
The flame under the glass sphere, the gentle gurgling, the water rising upwards – and at the end, the clear draw back into the pot: the NEXT brings the siphon spectacle into a clean, modern stand.
The NEXT is Hario's contemporary siphon variant: the same fascinating brewing through heat and vacuum, in a clear form. We carry Hario at Coffee Coaching Club.
How the Siphon Works
In the lower sphere, heat creates steam pressure, pushing the water upwards where the coffee brews. When you remove the heat, the resulting vacuum draws the finished coffee back down through the filter – clear like filter coffee, with a full body. The NEXT is operated with the included spirit burner or with the optional infrared heater.

Who it's For
For anyone who wants a siphon in a modern design and appreciates a clear, aromatic cup for multiple people. The Sommelier is more elegant; the Technika is more compact and classic.
What Goes With It
Medium grind from a hand grinder or electric coffee grinder, a scale from the Normcore series and the optional infrared heater for reproducible heat. Replacement filters in the Hario collection. Aromatic beans like Nutty Delight or the fruity Wild Peach.
Frequently Asked Questions
How is the NEXT heated?
With the included spirit burner or with the optional Hario infrared heater, which regulates the heat steplessly.
Which filters are included?
A cloth and a metal filter are included. Replacement cloth filters are available in the Hario collection.
How does the NEXT differ from the Sommelier?
Both brew identically via vacuum. The NEXT has a more modern frame design, while the Sommelier has a more elegant, classic shape.
Roastery Tip
The clear, full siphon cup pairs beautifully with the round notes of Nutty Delight or, for a lively, fruity option, with Wild Peach. Medium grind as a starting point. This is our recommendation, one of many.
