Hario V60 Dripper Transparent – Plastic Pour-Over Dripper
Hot water meets freshly ground grounds, finds its way down along the curved ribs, and drips clear into your cup. Every phase is visible – how the grounds bloom, how the surface settles, how the pour slowly runs through.
It's exactly this visibility that makes the transparent V60 special. Through the clear AS resin you watch the whole brewing process and learn with every cup how your coffee likes to taste. There's no right and no wrong – the only thing that counts is that it tastes good to you.
The conical body with its 60-degree angle lays the coffee bed deep, and the spiral inner ribs hold the paper filter away from the wall. That way water circulates freely around the grounds instead of pooling. The large opening at the tip gives you control: pour briskly and the body becomes finer and clearer; pour slowly and it becomes fuller and rounder. The aromatic time window is steered through grind size and pour speed, entirely to your taste.
The fact that this dripper is made of plastic isn't cutting corners in the wrong place. The lightweight AS resin holds the warmth inside remarkably well, stays only lukewarm on the outside, and survives daily use and travel without splintering. Many people who brew by hand every day choose this version quite deliberately. A good pour depends on you, not on the price of the dripper. That's our view, one of many.

Who the V60 Dripper is for
For anyone who pours their coffee by hand and enjoys the moment when water, grounds and time become a cup. Size 01 fits if you usually brew one to two cups. From around 300 ml or for several cups, reach for the 02.
Because it's lightweight and shatterproof, the clear V60 gets just as much use at home as at the office, at the holiday house or in a backpack. If you like, you can build a little ritual around it with jug, scale and kettle – if you just want a good cup, dripper and filter get you there. Every coffee path is valid.

Frequently asked questions about the Hario V60 Dripper
Which size suits me – 01 or 02?
The 01 is meant for one to two cups, the 02 for one to four cups or from around 300 ml. If you often brew for several people, you're more flexible with the 02.
Which paper filters do I need?
For the 01 you use Hario V60 paper filters in size 01, for the 02 the size 02 – the two aren't interchangeable. Matching filters are available in our Hario Collection.
Does the plastic change the taste?
No. The AS resin is flavour-neutral and gives off no odour or colour to the coffee. It's lightweight, robust and holds the warmth well during extraction – one reason why many people deliberately choose the plastic version.

How do I clean the dripper?
Rinse it briefly after each use and let it dry. It's dishwasher-safe, which makes everyday cleaning especially easy.
From our roastery: pour-over brings out fine, clear cups – and our dense, full-bodied beans really come into their own in it. For most people we recommend Cozy Chocolate and Nutty Delight: round, sweet, with chocolate and nut. If you like maximum body with no acidity at all, stick with Very Nutty.
