You press the power button on the Eagle One Prima. Eight minutes later – thanks to NEO (New Engine Optimisation) Instant-Heating – the machine is at brewing temperature. The exposed brew group illuminates, the NEO display shows temperature and shot timer. You insert the portafilter and start. The silent Rotary Pump operates virtually silently, the saturated 58 mm brew group ensures thermal stability at café level. From the bottomless portafilter, the first drop emerges – dark, slow, with a dense crema. This is Eagle One Prima: 120 years of espresso tradition compressed into a single-group machine that fits into any ambitious kitchen, any specialty café, and any roastery QC lab.
Victoria Arduino was founded in Turin in 1905 by Pier Teresio Arduino – one of the oldest continuously producing espresso machine brands in the world. The early ornate machines with their characteristic "golden eagle" helped define what an espresso bar should look like in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. In 2001, Victoria Arduino was acquired by the Simonelli Group (parent company of Nuova Simonelli). Today, the company is located in Belforte del Chienti (MC), Italy, and focuses on high-end specialty machines. The Black Eagle stands behind the counter at World Barista Championship cafés worldwide. The Eagle One – introduced in London in 2019 – brought the NEO concept for energy-efficient heating. The Eagle One Prima is the single-group version of this architecture, introduced in 2020 – this is the line we carry at Coffee Coaching Club.
Three things. Firstly: 120 years of continuous espresso tradition. Few manufacturers can trace an unbroken lineage back to 1905. Secondly: Architectural design. A Victoria Arduino on the counter is not just equipment, but a design element – polished chrome, clean lines, visible mechanics, integrated display architecture. Thirdly: Energy efficiency as a design principle. The NEO technology of the Eagle series significantly reduces power consumption compared to classic boiler machines – a design goal that shaped the Eagle family from the outset.
All Eagle One Prima models use a 58 mm portafilter – industry standard, compatible with all common IMS and precision baskets.
The single-group architecture, introduced in 2020. Dual boiler concept with saturated brew group (saturated 58 mm Group, directly integrated into the brew boiler), PID temperature control, silent rotary pump. NEO technology enables heat-up time in around 8 minutes – significantly faster than classic café machines, with lower energy consumption in stand-by. Integrated display directly on the group head for temperature, shot timer, and machine status. Internal 1.5 L reservoir or fixed water connection – flexible for home and café setups. Characteristic Victoria Arduino design with exposed group and minimalist housing. For ambitious home baristas, small specialty cafés, QC labs in roasteries, or boutique hotels.
The extended variant of the Eagle One Prima with additional features compared to the basic version – extended display logic, additional configuration options. Same basic architecture: saturated brew group, NEO technology, silent rotary pump, 8 minutes heat-up time. Available in various housing configurations.
The professional expansion stage of the Eagle One Prima Series. Highest quality configuration, individual customization options, more exclusive housing options. Manufactured after order – delivery times are discussed individually. Clearly positioned in the premium single-group segment, comparable to other high-end single-group machines such as the La Marzocco Linea One Group or the Slayer Single Group V4.
Three variants as a handcrafted premium accessory: Double Spout, Single Spout, and Bottomless (for visual inspection). Each with a genuine leather grip in the Victoria Arduino design language. For Eagle One Prima setups that want to consistently continue the design.
Precision filter basket from the Victoria Arduino range. Enables filter-like extraction profiles with the Eagle One Prima.
Service package for Victoria Arduino machines. Maintenance, cleaning, seal and wear part replacement – what an Eagle One needs at regular intervals to remain at its delivery level for years. Can be booked separately.
The Eagle One Prima Series is suitable for anyone looking for a single-group machine with commercial specs and architectural design. Ambitious home baristas with large kitchens and a demand for a saturated brew group. Specialty cafés with moderate volume that highly value energy efficiency and design language. Roasteries with a QC lab where the machine must provide identical conditions as in customer cafés. Boutique hotels and high-end gastronomy. For anyone for whom 120 years of brand history means something – this is not important to everyone, but crucial for some.
For those who want a saturated brew group with app control and Acaia Brew-by-Weight: La Marzocco Linea Mini R or GS3. For those seeking flow profiling with a patented needle valve: Slayer Espresso Single Group. For those who prefer E61 tradition with Italian mechanics: Rocket Espresso, ECM, Profitec. For those seeking the Lelit Bianca flow control paddle: Lelit. Victoria Arduino is not "better" – it is different. An Eagle One Prima on the counter makes its own statement.
An Eagle One Prima unfolds its potential with a grinder of a corresponding level. For flagship setups: Weber Workshops EG-1 or Option-O Lagom P80. For 64 mm precision: Mahlkönig E64 WS or X64 SD for single dose. For classic Italian Mignon class: Eureka Atom or Libra. For entry into the Eagle Prima setup: Varia VS3, VS4 (SCA Best New Product 2026) or VS6 (exclusive Swiss importer).
For scales: Acaia Lunar with flow rate display or affordable from the Normcore Collection. For puck prep: Normcore for everyday use, Weber Workshops for premium. For airtight bean storage: Airscape (exclusive Swiss importer). For precise brewing water: Apax Labs mineral profiles (exclusive Swiss importer). We carry the Eagle One Prima Series – the single-group line of the Victoria Arduino Eagle One family. Specifically: Eagle One E1 Prima (standard), Eagle One E1 Prima EXP (extended variant), and E1 Prima Pro (production by order). Plus accessories and service package. We do not carry larger commercial models like Black Eagle or White Eagle in our standard assortment – for such inquiries, please contact us personally.
NEO stands for New Engine Optimisation – an instant heating concept that Victoria Arduino introduced in the Eagle series. The heating system is dimensioned so that the machine reaches brewing temperature in about 8 minutes, instead of the classic 20+ minutes of an E61 architecture. At the same time, NEO significantly reduces power consumption in stand-by. NEO technology is one of the core achievements of the Eagle platform.
A saturated brew group is directly integrated into the brew boiler – water and group form a thermal unit. Unlike E61 architectures with thermosiphon circulation, there is no separate group that is kept warm by water circulation. Advantage: maximum temperature stability throughout the entire extraction. The Eagle One Prima uses a saturated 58 mm group – the same architectural family as La Marzocco or Slayer.
All three use the same basic architecture (dual boiler, saturated 58 mm brew group, NEO technology, silent rotary pump). The E1 Prima is the basic version, the E1 Prima EXP offers extended features and display options, and the E1 Prima Pro is the custom-made professional variant with more exclusive housing and configuration options. For home setups, the basic version is typically sufficient; for café installations or specific requirements, the EXP or Pro are worthwhile.
Both use a saturated brew group and 58 mm standard. Differences: La Marzocco Linea Mini R has app control with Brew-by-Weight license for Acaia Lunar, classic Florentine design, longer heat-up time. Eagle One Prima has NEO technology for 8 minutes heat-up time, integrated display directly on the exposed brew group, architecturally minimalist housing, lower power consumption in stand-by. Both are legitimate answers to the same question. The decision is often aesthetic.
Yes. The Eagle One Prima Series is technically a light commercial machine – it is used in specialty cafés with moderate volume, in roastery QC labs, and in boutique hotels. Fixed water connection is possible, alternatively the internal 1.5 L reservoir works. Service packages and spare parts are available through our service workflow. For higher volume, the larger Victoria Arduino commercial models (Eagle Tempo, multi-group Eagle One, Black Eagle) are the right class – please contact us personally for café consulting.
The Eagle One E1 Prima and E1 Prima EXP are in stock or available with short lead times. For the E1 Prima Pro (production by order), delivery times vary – we will discuss this before placing the order. Standard shipping throughout Switzerland and to Liechtenstein. Click and Collect in Bern and Zurich. For an on-site setup with installation, fixed water connection consultation, and NEO configuration on site, personal delivery can be booked on request for an additional charge – a quick inquiry is sufficient. Financing via Heylight is possible.
An Eagle One Prima in home use (1–3 shots per day) benefits from an annual service appointment. In café operation, shorter intervals are sensible, depending on volume. The service package covers inspection, seal replacement, and wear parts. We offer service in Bern and Zurich, with pickup or personal accompaniment.
The Eagle One Prima Series is often found in the QC lab in the roastery world – because its thermal stability and saturated brew group create precisely reproducible conditions. Cozy Chocolate and Nutty Delight perform on the Eagle One Prima with clear aroma separation – the saturated group supports the chocolate and nutty notes without overpowering them. Very Nutty particularly benefits from the constant brewing temperature – maximum body, clean aroma. Light roasts like Wild Peach benefit from the thermally stable behavior of the saturated group: the fruit notes remain precise, even with multiple shots in a row. For those who want to try filter coffee profiles with the Eagle One, the Pure Brew Filter is an interesting tool. One of many possibilities.
