What the Flowcontrol Does
The Flowcontrol kit replaces the upper part of the E61 group and controls the water flow directly at the brew head. By slowly opening the valve, you determine the pre-infusion and the flow curve during the shot. This lets you experience flow profiling by hand – a learning process, not the push of a button. Pressure and flow shape the aromatic time window: different compounds dissolve at different points, and a gentle pre-infusion gives the puck time to saturate evenly.
