What makes the AKU PRO special
The PRO builds on the AKU Mini and expands it: a larger platform of 130 × 110 × 18 mm provides more stability, from espresso through pour-over to larger quantities. It measures 0.01 g up to 1 kg, and 0.05 g up to 2 kg. The 64-bit OLED color display shows brewing parameters color-coded, making it easier to follow along during the shot.
AKU Flow mode is made for pour-over and shows the brew ratio live, while AKU Spro mode gives real-time feedback on ratio, dose and water yield for espresso. Over Bluetooth, the scale connects to apps like Pressensor and Beanconqueror and stays current through firmware updates. The housing is CNC-machined to a 0.02 mm tolerance and rated IPX6 against strong splashing water.

AKU PRO or AKU Mini?
The AKU Mini is especially flat at 13 mm and fits narrow drip trays like the one on the La Marzocco Micra. The AKU PRO, in turn, offers more surface area, the color display, higher capacity and the AKU Flow mode for pour-over. If you brew a lot of filter coffee or weigh larger quantities, the PRO is a great fit.
What goes with it
The AKU PRO works with any espresso machine, for example from La Marzocco or Rocket, and with any grinder from the Varia Collection. For pour-over, brewers and filters from the filter equipment.

Roastery tip
For pour-over, we use the AKU Flow mode: keep an eye on the brew ratio live, then pour in calm, steady pours. Start with 1:16 (for example 15 g coffee to 240 g water) and adjust to taste. That's our recommendation, one of many.
