Rocket back panel in stainless steel – R60
The back panel is the piece of sheet metal nobody notices – until the machine is moved one day and suddenly stands with its back to the guest. Then you see every dent, every scratch and every spot where a service technician was once in too much of a hurry.
This item is the stainless steel back panel of the R60 with the part number A019905648. It closes off the housing at the back and keeps the boiler, lines and electrics out of reach.
When it is due
The panel is dented, scratched or discoloured at the edges – during transport, during servicing or over the years on site.
The screw holes are torn out, so the panel no longer sits flat and one edge sticks out.
After water damage, rust or limescale marks appear that can no longer be polished away.

Important for installation
Behind the back panel are the boiler, lines and the electrics. Only remove it when the machine is disconnected from the mains, depressurised and cooled down.
The back panel is screwed on from the outside, but sits directly in front of live parts. We therefore recommend leaving the replacement to a qualified technician and deliberately do not provide step-by-step instructions.
When fitting it, take care with the edges: a warped panel will never sit cleanly again, and the screw holes will not take it a second time.

Who it is for
For anyone who wants their machine to look tidy again after years of use, and for workshops that replace only the panel after transport damage instead of the entire housing.
Also useful when the machine changes location and the back suddenly becomes visible – at an island counter in a café, for example.

From our workshop
When we replace a back panel in Bern or Zürich, we lay the screws out in the order they come out and tighten them crosswise at the end – first all by hand, then firmly one after the other. That way the panel does not warp and the gaps stay even. This is our workshop routine, not a manufacturer requirement.
Afterwards, the machine runs empty for half an hour to warm up before we pull the first shot – Cozy Chocolate is our standard for this. More beans under Coffee beans.
Returns excluded
Spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are procured specifically for each order and cannot be resold once they have been installed or test-fitted on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or send us a quick message and we will check the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.

Does the back panel also fit an R58?
No. The R58 has its own back panel with the number A010004658. This one carries A019905648 and belongs to the R60.
Are screws or a logo included?
No. The panel is supplied on its own. Where available, we stock the logo and the fixing screws as separate items.
What are the dimensions of the back panel?
Dimensions, sheet thickness and surface treatment are not stated in the documentation. We deliberately do not give any figures here that we cannot back up. Send us the serial number and we will check the fit.
Is this an electrical part?
No. The back panel is a housing panel. However, the boiler and electrics are behind it, so the replacement belongs in expert hands.
