Premium espresso machines from CHF 6,000
Buy Premium Espresso Machines from CHF 6,000 – La Marzocco, Slayer, Manument, Modbar, Eversys and more
"Premium" here is not a marketing adjective, but a list of mechanical properties: double-insulated stainless steel boilers, PID-controlled temperatures per brew and steam circuit, rotary pumps instead of vibratory, fixed water connection possible, components in sanitary stainless steel or brass, modularly repairable, designed for decades of use. What stands here is built like a cafe machine – not like a consumer device to be disposed of in five years.
Coffee Coaching Club carries 26 active models in this cluster: from compact home-pro single-groups to classic 2- and 3-group commercial machines, spring-lever machines, modular under-counter systems from Modbar, and premium superautomatics from Eversys. Showrooms in Bern and Zurich, Swiss service, transparent delivery and order coordination.

Understanding the 5 Design Classes
- Home-Pro Single-Group
- Compact single-group machines, technically identical or almost identical to their 2-group counterparts, but in a home-friendly design (smaller footprint, optional tank operation, single-phase power connection). For home baristas with professional aspirations and studio setups where the machine is prominently displayed. Examples: La Marzocco GS3 MP, Victoria Arduino Eagle One Prima EXP, Slayer Single Group V4, La Marzocco Strada X 1-group, Ascaso Barista T ONE.
- 2- and 3-Group Commercial Machines
- The classic café machines for bars, restaurants, and hotels. For locations with daily volumes of approximately 50 servings and up. Requires 3-phase power and a fixed water connection. Examples: La Marzocco Linea Classic S, Linea PB X, GB5/GB5 X, KB90, Strada S/X, Rocket RE Doppia 2-Group.
- Spring-Lever Machines
- Machines without an electric pump. Pressure comes from a coil spring that you tension with the lever. Classic declining pressure profile, mechanically reproducible. Examples: La Marzocco Leva X 1-group (modern interpretation), Manument Leva (mechanical multi-flow heater system from Thun), Slayer Steam Single, Rocket EPICA (lever with saturated brew group).
- Modular Under-Counter Systems (Modbar)
- Flush-mount modules where the tap protrudes from the counter and the technology is underneath. Developed in Ohio in 2013, part of the La Marzocco family since 2014. For modern specialty cafés, hotels, and concept stores that want an open counter and the machine to visually disappear. Examples: Modbar Espresso System Chrome, Modbar Pour Over.
- Premium Superautomatics
- Bridges-the-gap machines: produce espresso quality close to traditional machines, while being fully automated. For office locations, hotels, and small cafés without dedicated barista staff. Example: Eversys Legacy (Swiss superautomatic from Valais, part of the DeLonghi Group since 2021).

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between GS3 MP and Linea Mini R?
The GS3 MP (Manual Paddle) has a paddle system for manual flow profiling during extraction – you control pre-infusion and main shot yourself. The Linea Mini R (R for Rotation Pump, 2024 generation, under CHF 7,000 and thus in a different collection) is the more compact and slightly easier-to-operate home version of the Linea Classic. Both are dual-boiler, manufactured in Florence. It's a workflow question, not a "better or worse" one.
Is a Linea PB X worth it for home?
Technically yes – the PB X is a 2-group professional machine. Practically rather rare: power connection (3-phase), water connection, 100+ kg, space for two groups. Makes sense primarily for studio setups, office cafés, or concept apartments with their own bar area. For most home use cases, GS3 MP, Strada X 1-group, or Linea Mini are better choices.
Manument or La Marzocco Leva X?
Two different philosophies. La Marzocco Leva X is a modern interpretation of the classic Italian lever machine – with a touch display, full boiler technology, and integrated electronic control. Manument Leva is mechanically fundamentally different: spring-piston lever, multi-flow heater instead of a classic boiler, manual five-stage water flow valve, no display. The Manument is a deliberately reduced mechanical tool; the Leva X is a technically sophisticated hybrid machine. You can pull shots on both in the showroom and decide.
What is the advantage of Modbar?
The machine disappears under the counter – only the tap and brew spout protrude from the work surface. For cafés with an open counter where the customer should see the barista directly, this is an architectural advantage. Technically, Modbar is related to La Marzocco (part of the family since 2014) and uses similar brewing technology.
When does an Eversys superautomatic machine make sense?
When volume and consistency are more important than barista craftsmanship – office locations, hotel breakfast, small cafés without permanent barista staff, concept stores with self-service. According to reviews, the Eversys Legacy delivers espresso that can often keep up with traditional machines, without anyone needing to stand at the machine. The machine can be remotely maintained and monitored via e'Connect.
What distinguishes GB5 X from Linea PB X?
Both are La Marzocco premium 2-/3-group machines. Linea PB X: Pro Barista with touch display, pulse brewing, advanced user interface. GB5 X: optimized for highest cup numbers, more classic operation. For volumes over 300 shots/day or specialty service setups, often GB5. For modern workflow with display: Linea PB X.
What is the KB90?
The La Marzocco KB90 is an auto-brew ratio machine with auto-locking portafilter and straight-in insertion. Workflow speed is key here: the barista does not have to screw in the portafilter classically, but simply clicks it into place. For high-volume cafés where every second in the workflow counts.
How long is the delivery time for premium machines?
Varies greatly. La Marzocco Standard models (Linea Classic, GS3) typically have several weeks lead time. La Marzocco Strada models are produced to order – often 2 to 3 months. Slayer models are Made-on-Order, waiting time several weeks to months. Manument is hand-crafted in Thun, with its own waiting lists. We always communicate the current situation transparently during the order process and keep you updated.
What do delivery, installation, and commissioning cost?
For café machines with plumbed-in connection, delivery, installation, and commissioning in Switzerland can be booked for an additional charge upon request – the conditions are discussed individually during the order, depending on location and setup complexity. For home setups (GS3, Manument, Eagle One Prima), standard delivery is part of the price; installation is usually DIY or can be booked as an on-site setup for an additional charge.
How does Heylight financing work?
Heylight is our partner for installment payments. Selectable during the checkout process, immediate credit check, individual terms and rates. Background info on interest rates can be found above – the specific Heylight conditions are calculated individually during the order process; independent financial advice may be advisable.
Can I test the machines before buying?
Yes, in the showrooms in Bern and Zurich Oerlikon. Please send a quick message or call beforehand so we can have the desired machine pre-heated and ready with your preferred beans. For very rare models like the Manument or Slayer Steam Single, we arrange special test appointments.
Do you offer Swiss service and warranty?
Yes. Coffee Coaching Club is a Swiss partner for all premium brands we carry. We coordinate service cases directly with the manufacturer's workshops and supply original spare parts from our own stock or via direct manufacturer contact. Swiss warranty on all machines.
What is the difference between Strada S and Strada X?
Both are La Marzocco competition machines in the café version. Strada S has saturated group heads with classic La Marzocco architecture. Strada X additionally features a touch display, pulse brewing function, and integrated flow control. Strada X is the more modern and more expensive variant. Both are produced to order.
