Slayer Espresso Single Group – single-group machine with needle-valve pre-brew
You put your hand on the paddle, draw it back slowly, and the water enters the puck in a fine, measured dose – that slow pre-brew phase is Slayer's signature.
The Slayer Single Group is the single-group espresso machine from Slayer: separate PID boilers and a precise needle valve for the pre-brew phase. In the standard configuration, with personalisation on request.
Needle-valve pre-brew
A needle valve controls the slow wetting of the puck – Slayer calls this phase pre-brew. Because the water enters slowly at first, even very finely ground coffee can be extracted cleanly. You pull shots manually via the paddle or semi-automatically via the pre-brew timer.
Separate PID boilers
A dedicated brew boiler (around 1.1 litres, with preheating coil) and a steam boiler (around 3.3 litres) work separately and are PID-controlled – stable temperature for espresso and steam at the same time. Plus the bottomless 58 mm portafilter and a shot mirror for watching the extraction.
Our opinion is one of many.

Tip from our coffee roastery
For a dense, round espresso you're right on the money with Cozy Chocolate and Nutty Delight – chocolatey, nutty, rich in body. If you're after maximum body without any acidity, go for Very Nutty; for a fruity, bright experience it's worth trying Wild Peach. That's our recommendation, one of many.
