One millimetre of spacing that decides whether there is play
Spacer sleeves are the most inconspicuous parts of an espresso machine, and at the same time the ones you notice immediately when they are missing. They hold two components at a defined distance, absorb the clamping force of the screw and prevent anything from warping or binding. This one measures 3.5 mm inside, 1 mm wall thickness and 5 mm in length.
In the workshop, sleeves like this like to slip through your fingers or get left behind in the cloth during disassembly. If you are planning an overhaul, it is best to have one ready. The part number is L137/3.
