On a lever machine, all the force runs through just a few components. The fork of the lever group transfers the movement from the lever to the piston and keeps it on track. It works with every shot, under pressure and at boiler temperature – and at some point it shows.
This part is the mechanical fork of the lever group with part number F.8.008. Pure mechanics: no motor, no spring, no electrics.
The lever no longer feels even: it judders, catches at one point or has lateral play that wasn't there before.
When pulling and returning the lever, you hear a clack or a scraping sound from the group.
On the contact surfaces of the old fork you can see wear marks, worn-out bores or grooves. By then at the latest, the bushing next to it suffers too.

The fork sits in the lever group, an area that is under pressure and that has to be reassembled in the right order and with the right bushings. We deliberately don't provide step-by-step instructions for this.
If you replace the fork, check the bushings and the pin at the same time. A new fork in worn-out bushings runs just as badly as before – and wears out twice as fast.
Before any work on the group: machine switched off, unplugged, cooled down and depressurised.
For workshops and technically skilled businesses overhauling a LEVA, and for anyone whose lever no longer feels the way it should.
Not for a quick fix in between: the part sits deep inside the group, and replacing it belongs in a planned overhaul.
From our workshop
Our rule in Bern and Zurich: if the fork has to come out, the bushings and pin go on the bench too. We've seen too often that a new fork alone only makes the lever feel good for two months. That's our experience from the workshop, not a manufacturer requirement. We deliberately pull the first shot after the overhaul slowly, usually with Cozy Chocolate, because with a natural you can taste right away whether the pull is running evenly again. Our beans: our coffee beans.
Returns excluded
Service parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold after being installed or test-fitted on a machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a line and we'll check the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.
No. Only the fork is supplied. We carry bushings, pins and screws as separate items.
No. This is pure mechanics. There are no electrics at work in the lever group of the LEVA.
By lateral play and wear marks. If, on the other hand, the lever judders evenly over its entire travel, the piston seals or the spring are more likely the cause.
Our documentation only lists the number F.8.008, without any year of manufacture. Send us the serial number and we'll check the fit.
Yes. We have two showrooms: Bern at Gerberngasse 44 and Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b. Drop us a line beforehand and we'll have the part ready and look at it together on your machine.
Not sure whether this is the right number? Write to us at [email protected] with the model, year of manufacture and serial number, and we'll check it for you. We deliver across Switzerland and to Liechtenstein in 2-4 working days.
You order directly through our online shop. If you have questions, we're happy to help — online or in person — with experience from our roastery, cafés and showrooms.
