The M8 nut that holds the Strada's glass panel in place

The glass side panels are what defines a Strada EP on the counter. They are held by just a few screw fittings, and glass does not forgive poor mounting: if a nut is not seated properly, the pane rattles during operation – or, in the worst case, ends up on the floor at some point.

This M8 nut with part number I.1.036 is part of this mounting. A small part you reorder individually when one is missing or damaged.

When it's due

The glass panel no longer sits snugly and rattles or vibrates during operation.

A nut is missing or was damaged when the panel was removed.

The hex is rounded off or the thread no longer engages cleanly.

Who it's for

For businesses with a Strada EP where a panel rattles or where a small part is missing after cleaning.

For workshops that are dismantling a Strada and replacing the glass panel screw fittings anyway.

What goes with it

From our workshop
With glass, our rule in Bern and Zurich is: hand-tight and not a millimetre further. We tighten the nuts on the glass panel by hand and then check that the pane still has a tiny bit of play – without play, the glass works against the screw fitting and eventually cracks. This is our experience from the workshop, not a manufacturer specification. Then we tidy up, pull an espresso with Cozy Chocolate and take one more look at the machine from the front. Our beans: our coffee beans.

No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced to order and cannot be resold after installation or test fitting on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a quick message and we'll clarify the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.

Frequently asked questions

Are the washer and rubber included?

No. Only the nut is supplied. The rubber washer and the plastic washer are separate items.

How many nuts do I need per panel?

That depends on the version of your machine. Count them on your panel or send us the serial number.

How tight can I tighten it?

With glass, only hand-tight. If overtightened, stress builds up in the glass and the pane can crack.

Does the nut also fit a Strada X or S?

In our records it is assigned to the Strada EP. Send us the model and serial number and we'll check before you order.

Can I view and pick up the part in Bern or Zurich?

Yes. We have two showrooms: Bern at Gerberngasse 44 and Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b. Drop us a quick message beforehand and we'll have the part ready and look at it together on your machine.
