At the front of the lever group, the LEVA faces the barista directly. That is exactly where this black cover sits – the part that is in view with every shot and takes a lot as a result: coffee splashes, drops of milk, the cleaning cloth and the occasional knock from the portafilter.
It is the original part with part number C.2.045. Because several covers with similar names sit on the same group, we list them all with the number in the title.
The surface is dull, scratched or faded. Corners are chipped, the screw hole is torn out. The cover no longer sits flush and rattles with every lever movement. Or it has a dent from the portafilter – in a busy café, that happens more often than you would like.

This position is the black one at the front. The same group also has: C.2.042 and C.2.046 as generally listed protective covers, C.2.044 in a treated version, and the two plexiglass covers C.2.043.SX on the left and C.2.043.DX on the right. If you are unsure which one you need: send us the serial number and we will check.
For cafés where the LEVA is the calling card of the counter, and for service companies that also restore the appearance during an overhaul. On a lever machine, a fresh black cover makes more of an impression than any polish.
The other covers: C.2.042, C.2.046, C.2.044 treated, Plexiglass left and Plexiglass right. Also matching are the screw for the protective cover and the upper front panel, 2-group. Everything for the machine under La Marzocco LEVA spare parts.
Workshop tip from Bern and Zurich
This is our routine, not a manufacturer requirement: we wipe black covers once with a damp cloth at the end of every shift, before milk dries on. Dried milk can later only be removed with friction, and friction is exactly what makes black dull and blotchy. With it, a pot of Cozy Chocolate; more under Coffee beans.
No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are procured specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or a test fitting on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a line and we will clarify the fit together. Your statutory rights regarding defective goods remain unaffected.
Front. The item description explicitly lists it as the front position of the lever group. The two plexiglass covers sit at the sides.
We only know of the black version under C.2.045. We do not claim any other colours that we cannot verify.
We have no verified information on this. The part number is what counts.
No. The screw for the protective cover of the lever group is a separate item and is linked above.
Yes. We have two locations: Bern at Gerberngasse 44 and Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b. Drop us a line and we will have it ready for you.
