Olympia Express Group Head Gasket PU for Maximatic – 95 Shore A, Red

The Maximatic group head gasket made of polyurethane in the harder 95 Shore A version, colored red – the Maximatic counterpart to the Cremina's PU gasket. It seals the transition between the portafilter and the brew group and maintains pressure during extraction. The durable option for those who use their Maximatic intensely. Original part from Schwanden GL.

What makes this gasket special

95 Shore A: longer lifespan, pressure stable

The 95 Shore A hardness (harder than the silicone version) ensures a significantly longer service life under pressure and temperature. A slightly firmer tamping feel when locking in, but more dimensionally stable for years – the familiar PU behavior that many Olympia owners know from the Cremina version.

Maximatic group head dimensions

Adapted to the Maximatic brew group – not to be confused with the Cremina PU gasket (250252/240252). The Maximatic has its own geometry and requires this specific version.

Original from Schwanden

Olympia original, manufactured in the factory in Schwanden GL. Olympia wording confirmed: "Brew group gasket PU 95 Sh A red Maximatic". Third-party gaskets rarely meet this specification exactly.

PU or silicone – an honest comparison

PU 95 Shore A (red): durable, pressure stable

This gasket here. Harder, more dimensionally stable under pressure, longer service life. For frequent Maximatic users.

Silicone version (380254)

The Maximatic silicone gasket is softer and corresponds to the factory version. You can find it in parallel in our Olympia collection.

Who this gasket is for

For Maximatic owners who use it intensively and are looking for a durable gasket. If you want to keep the factory original: choose the silicone version.

Accessories that fit Maximatic maintenance

Silicone version as factory original: in our Olympia Express Collection. Complete boiler cap: also there. Cleaning powder: Machine and Grinder Cleaning Collection.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference to the Cremina PU gasket?

The Cremina has a different brew group geometry than the Maximatic. Both gaskets are not interchangeable – this 370252 only fits the Maximatic, the Cremina version 240252 only fits the Cremina family.

When should I replace the gasket?

If water leaks from the portafilter during extraction or the portafilter can no longer be clamped tightly. PU replacement interval for intensive use: 2–3 years.

Where can I buy the gasket or see it live?

Online via coffeecoachingclub.ch. On-site in our showrooms in Bern (Gerberngasse 44, 3011 Bern) and Zurich (Hagenholzstrasse 50b, 8050 Zurich).

Roastery Tip

The PU version is the honest choice for frequent Maximatic users – slightly firmer clamping, but maintenance-free for years. Our opinion, one of many.
