Weber Workshops Bean Cellar – single dosing set of 12 in black flamed oak

You weigh out your portion, pour it into the jar, press the cap on – and the coffee stays fresh until you grind it. Instead of a bag being opened and closed every morning, each bean only comes into contact with air twice: when filling and when grinding.

This version comes with a caddy in black flamed oak (Onyx), matching the EG-1 Onyx. Coffee Coaching Club is an importer of Weber Workshops.

What sets the Bean Cellar apart

Each borosilicate glass jar is sealed with Weber’s own one-way valve: the CO2 from freshly roasted beans escapes upwards, while the lighter oxygen stays out. This way the coffee oxidises much more slowly than in a bag that is opened again and again. Depending on bean size and roast, each jar holds around 18 to 22 g.

    About the flamed surface

The Onyx caddy is quite literally flamed and fire-polished. As a result, each piece may show small surface marks or fine cracks – that is part of the character of this process. Please keep this in mind before buying if you expect a completely flawless surface.

    Light and storage

Daylight in the room is not a problem, as long as the jars aren’t standing in direct sun. The biggest loss of freshness comes from opening and closing again and again, not from ambient light.

    What goes with it

The single dosing principle comes into its own with a single dose grinder such as the Weber EG-1 or Key. You’ll find fresh beans in our coffee bean selection, for example Cozy Chocolate.

    Frequently asked questions

How much coffee fits in one jar?

Depending on bean size and roast, around 18 to 22 g.

Why does the caddy have small irregularities?

The black surface is created by flaming and fire-polishing. Small marks or fine cracks are therefore possible and part of its character.

How does the one-way valve work?

It lets the CO2 from freshly roasted beans escape and keeps the oxygen out.

    Roastery tip

Fill the jars with whole beans and only grind right before brewing – ground coffee loses its aroma many times faster. The one-way valve lets exactly that early CO2 escape without letting fresh oxygen in. That’s our recommendation, one of many.
