The details in everyday use
The stainless steel is durable, rust-resistant and easy to clean. The long handle reaches the bottom of a coffee bag or canister, and the spoon has heft and a balanced feel. Planetary Design also recommends it for measuring when baking.
For espresso we dose by weight: we grind fine, start at 14.5 g and work our way up, usually to 17 g, at a ratio below 1:2. The scoop is handy wherever a spoon measure is enough: transferring beans, filter coffee or French press. Our opinion is one of many.
