What makes this screen stand out
Even water distribution
The shower screen distributes water before it hits the puck. A clogged or damaged screen leads to uneven extraction – some areas are over-extracted, others under-extracted. The result: bitter, sour, bodyless.
Wear part with intensive use
Over time, coffee oils and mineral deposits accumulate on the screen. Regular cleaning delays this – but after 2–3 years of intensive use, replacement is still worthwhile.
Precise dimensional fit
Ø 51.5 mm – Olympia standard for the Maximatic brew group. Third-party screens rarely achieve this specification exactly.

How do I recognize a worn shower screen?
Uneven extraction (water only comes out in certain places), visibly clogged holes despite cleaning, or coffee tastes uneven despite correct grinding and tamping settings.
How do I clean the shower screen?
Weekly with backflush without cleaning agents, every ~50 shots with cleaning powder. For heavier soiling, remove the screen and soak overnight in a cleaning solution.

The shower screen is one of the underestimated service parts – channeling and uneven extraction are often attributed to the grinder or tamping, but the screen is often the reason. One of the cheapest parts with the biggest leverage for extraction quality. Our opinion, one of many.
