What makes the dosing cup special
The cup holds 60 g and is deliberately built taller to reduce the static kickback from heavily roasted or chaff-rich beans. The outside is powder-coated and matched to the VS3 colors, the anodized tops match the grinder's lid and collar colors. A magnet connects the cup to the VS3's magnetic base, and a soft-touch silicone base gives it a secure footing. Available in black, white, and silver, each for 54 mm or 58 mm portafilters.

Which size do I need, 54 or 58 mm?
That depends on your portafilter. Most machines use 58 mm, some more compact models use 54 mm. Check the size of your portafilter.
Does the cup only work with the VS3?
The magnetic connection and the colors are matched to the VS3, but the cup can be used with any grinder.
What's the raised design good for?
It keeps the grounds together and reduces individual particles jumping out with statically charged, dark-roasted coffee.
Roastery tip
A quick spritz of water on the beans before grinding, the so-called RDT method, noticeably reduces static buildup – so even less sticks in the cup. Our Cozy Chocolate as a medium roast doses especially cleanly here. That's our recommendation, one of many.
