The Europa from Motta is a classic from Italy – a conical pitcher with a tapered spout that concentrates the milk stream and dispenses it precisely. Where a wide spout flows broadly, the tapered spout of the Europa draws narrow, controlled lines. This makes it the pitcher for anyone who likes rosettas, delicate tulips, and detailed designs.
Latte art is created from two things: silky microfoam and the way the milk flows from the pitcher. The tapered spout produces a narrower, slower stream – you start higher, lower the pitcher close to the surface, and a slight wobble creates the pattern. When pulling through, you cut the design cleanly. A round, wide spout flows more generously and is suitable for large, flowing shapes; the tapered Europa spout is the choice for fine details. Both are correct – it depends on what you want to pour. Our opinion is one of many.
The milk is most beautiful when it shines like liquid paint and has no coarse bubbles. It tastes sweet around 60 to 65 degrees – then the natural sweetness is most pronounced without the milk losing its character. The slender shape of the Europa helps to bundle the foam when pouring and guide it evenly. You'll notice how much of it is technique and how much is feel after the first few attempts – and no two pours are alike. That's not a limitation, that's the beauty of it.
The Europa is available in polished stainless steel and in several powder-coated colors – white, green, orange, red, and black. The stainless steel feels cool and neutral in the hand; the colored versions add a pop of color to the counter. Which one you choose is purely a matter of personal preference.

The 0.35 l is ideal if you usually pour a single cup and want maximum control over small quantities. The 0.5 l is the all-rounder for one to two drinks and the most common choice for everyday use. The 0.75 l holds enough for several cups in a row or larger cappuccino rounds. A common approach is to start with the 0.5 l and later add a second size.
A milk pitcher is part of a whole. You'll find the espresso for it in our espresso machines, and the right grind in our coffee grinders. For dosing, a good scale is worthwhile: those who want to weigh compactly and precisely will be well served by the Normcore Collection; those who want an app, flow display, and Bluetooth should check out the Acaia Collection. Neither is the only right one – both do what they're supposed to.
And because latte art stands or falls with the coffee: Our Cozy Chocolate and Nutty Delight produce a dense, chocolatey-nutty espresso that holds up under milk.
The Europa has a tapered spout. It produces a narrow, easily controllable milk stream, making it particularly suitable for fine patterns like rosettas and detailed tulips. Wide, round spouts flow more broadly – for large, flowing shapes.
0.35 l for single cups and finest control, 0.5 l as an all-rounder for one to two drinks, 0.75 l for several cups or larger rounds. Many start with the 0.5 l.
The powder-coated color versions are best hand-washed with a soft sponge and mild detergent – this keeps the coating beautiful for a long time. The polished stainless steel version is more durable and can be put in the dishwasher.

From the roastery: For latte art, you want an espresso that doesn't disappear under the milk. Cozy Chocolate and Nutty Delight bring body and a chocolatey-nutty sweetness that carries through the foam. If you prefer something even stronger, choose Very Nutty; if you're looking for a fruity cup, try the light-roasted Wild Peach. This is our recommendation, one of many.
