Espazzola 2+3-58 – the brew group almost cleans itself
Instead of laboriously brushing out the hot, awkwardly shaped brew group by hand, you hang the Espazzola in like a portafilter, start the hot-water draw and move it gently back and forth. In less than 20 seconds everything is wiped and rinsed through – no burnt fingers, no big mess.
The flexible membrane adapts to the brew group and wipes all areas at once, right up to the gasket and into the groove for the portafilter cams. At the same time the machine's hot water rinses the group thoroughly. As soon as the water running off turns clear, you can stop.
What makes the 2+3-58 special
With the Espazzola 2+3-58 you decide yourself how many cams are mounted on the cup: clips made of springy stainless-steel wire clip into designated slots in the cup wall and adapt the Espazzola to the shape of your portafilter. The holding pockets are deeper and grip the membrane better, and the optimised membrane shape sits closer to the shower screen and lasts longer. The dirty water is collected in a funnel under the cup and drained off in a controlled way.

Does the Espazzola fit my machine?
It fits brew groups with a tamper diameter of 56–58 mm and a portafilter outside diameter from 69 mm – which applies to most professional and semi-professional machines. It is not suitable for, among others, the Bezzera Hobby up to year of manufacture 2014, Breville/Sage (all models), Decent Espresso, GRAEF (all), Illy Francis/Francis!, La Pavoni as well as Domus Bar/Casa, Lelit Anna/Anita/Diana/Grace, Vibiemme Lollo and various QuickMill models. With the Gaggia CC, hand-lever machines and Reneka, inserting it is initially difficult or not yet conclusively tested.

Clamp the Espazzola in like a portafilter, start the hot-water draw, move it gently back and forth and stop as soon as the water runs off clear. Then unhook it and empty out the remaining water.
