It distributes the water in a circular, finely perforated pattern across the portafilter – reducing channeling and letting extraction become more balanced and aromatic.
What sets this version apart: the membrane is made directly into the shower body (Integrated Membrane, hence "IM"). No extra blocking disc is needed, which simplifies installation and cleaning. The support disc behind it carries 98 holes with 19 micro-perforations each and, together with the 3 mm perforation, delivers a fine, even water shower.
