Timemore × Nuttii E-Coffee – real espresso with crema, wherever you happen to be
Pour in cold water, press the button, wait a moment – and there's a dense shot with crema in the cup, even though there's no power outlet or kettle in sight for miles. The E-Coffee is the first portable espresso machine from Nuttii, Timemore's sub-brand for portable coffee solutions, that heats the water itself.
That's the decisive difference from most portable machines: it generates heat and pressure entirely on its own. A built-in heating element brings the water from room temperature to around 92 °C in roughly 150 to 180 seconds, and an electric pump builds up to 15 bar. You don't pump anything by hand, you don't pre-boil water – you press a button, and the machine extracts at constant pressure. An OLED display shows temperature and brewing progress in real time.
Why this matters for taste: temperature helps determine which compounds dissolve, and even pressure shapes the aromatic time window. A reproducible, electrically generated pressure gives you a more stable result on the go than pumping by wrist. The system is deliberately designed to be forgiving – you don't need a perfect grind size for a round result. Our opinion is one of many, but especially while travelling, this self-sufficiency is worth its weight in gold.
You decide how you brew: freshly ground coffee (around 10–12 g, with included tamper, dosing ring and WDT needle) or NS-/Nespresso-compatible capsules via the included adapter.

Who the E-Coffee is made for
For anyone who doesn't want to fall back on instant coffee on the go – at the campsite, in an office without a kitchen, on the train or on a road trip. It doesn't replace a portafilter machine at home, but solves exactly the moments when you don't have one. Frequently asked questions
Do I need hot water or power for the E-Coffee?
No. You fill in cold water, the built-in heating element brings it to around 92 °C in about 150–180 seconds, and the pump generates the pressure. Everything runs off the 7500 mAh battery, charged via USB-C.
Does it work with ground coffee and with capsules?
Both. For ground coffee (approx. 10–12 g), a tamper, dosing ring and WDT needle are included; for capsules, an NS-/Nespresso-compatible adapter.
How many espressos can I make per battery charge?
With the heating function active, around 5 shots per charge. If you use already hot water, it's over 100, because then only the pump draws power.
