White shows everything: fingerprints, limescale marks, the streak from the shipping box. The back panel takes the most of it, because it is the first part to hit the wall when the machine is moved.

The screw holes are torn out, so the panel no longer sits flat and one edge sticks out.

Important for installation
Behind the back panel are the boiler, lines and the electrics. It is only removed with the machine disconnected from the mains, depressurised and cooled down.
The back panel is screwed on from the outside, but sits directly in front of live parts. We therefore recommend leaving the replacement to a qualified technician, and deliberately do not provide step-by-step instructions.
Take care with the edges when fitting it: a bent panel will never sit cleanly again, and the screw holes cannot make up for it.

Who it is for
For anyone who wants their machine to look tidy again after years of use, and for workshops that only replace the panel after transport damage instead of the whole housing.
Also useful when the machine moves and the rear suddenly becomes visible – on an island counter in a café, for example.

From our workshop
When we replace a back panel in Bern or Zürich, we lay the screws down in the order they come out and, at the end, tighten them crosswise – first all by hand, then firmly one after the other. That way the panel does not warp and the gaps stay even. This is our workshop routine, not a manufacturer requirement.
Afterwards, the machine runs empty for half an hour to warm up before we pull the first shot – Cozy Chocolate is our standard for this. More beans under Coffee beans.
Returns excluded
Spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are procured specifically for each order and cannot be resold once they have been installed or test-fitted on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or send us a quick message and we will check the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.

Which shade of white is it?
The documentation only gives the colour name white, not a colour code. That is why we do not claim a RAL shade. If you want to be sure, send us a photo of the machine.
Are screws or a logo included?
No. The panel itself is supplied. We carry the logo and the fixing screws as separate items, where available.
What are the dimensions of the back panel?

Is this an electrical part?
No. The back panel is a housing panel. However, the boiler and electrics sit behind it, which is why the replacement belongs in expert hands.
