The solid casting behind every shot on the RPM

The Casting Espresso Tap is the cast brass body of the group on the RPM. The brewing water flows through it to the portafilter, and the group's connections and inserts sit on it. A casting usually lasts the life of the machine, but is replaced if a thread has been torn out, a seat is damaged or the body has started to leak.

Because a lot of value is at stake here, we clarify the exact version and the scope of delivery using your serial number before you order. The part number is A.3.008.

When it is due

  • A thread on the body is torn out or stripped.
  • A sealing seat is damaged and can no longer be sealed.
  • The body is cracked or leaks permanently.
  • After a service job, the old body can no longer be used.

Important for installation

The body sits right in the middle of the pressurised group. That is why we do not provide step-by-step instructions. The machine must be depressurised and cooled down, and the replacement belongs in the hands of a specialist.

Who it is for

For technicians replacing a damaged group body on an RPM.

What goes with it

From our workshop in Bern and Zurich

After such a major job, we flush the group for a long time before the first real shot runs, and check every connection for leaks. That is our routine, not a manufacturer's specification. Then we pull an espresso with Nutty Delight and check that everything is right – more in our coffee beans.

Returns excluded

Spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are procured to order and cannot be resold after being installed or test-fitted on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a line and we will clarify the fit together. Your rights in the event of defective goods remain unaffected.

What exactly is included in the price?

The casting is supplied. As the scope of delivery varies depending on the version, we clarify inserts and seals with you in advance using the serial number.

Does the body fit my machine?
