This fork guard covers the right side of the fork. It takes the contact that would otherwise be metal on metal, cushions the movement and keeps coffee dust out of the gap. Small, inexpensive and exactly for that reason a part you shouldn't run until it's completely worn out.
If it's thin, cracked or has fallen out, you'll hear a quiet rattle, and chafe marks form on the fork. You only notice them when it's too late. Part number F.2.084.DX.01, right-hand version – the left side is a separate part.

For anyone replacing a worn-through protective part, and for workshops that renew both sides together during a service.
From our workshop
When reassembling, in Bern and Zurich we make sure the guard really sits all the way up to the stop. A part that's only pushed on halfway works its way out during operation and becomes an issue again after two weeks. Afterwards there's an espresso made with Very Nutty. That's our routine, not a manufacturer's requirement.
No returns
Spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold once they have been installed or test-fitted on a machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a quick line and we'll clarify the fit together. Your rights in the event of defective goods remain unaffected.
No. Left and right are two different parts. We've linked the left-hand version.
The item description doesn't make that clear. Send us the serial number and we'll check it instead of guessing.
Yes. Just put both items in your cart and we'll ship them together.
That depends heavily on usage. Much more often in a bar than at home. A quick look at every service is enough.
Yes. We're in Bern at Gerberngasse 44 and in Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b. Bring the serial number of your machine or the old part, and we'll compare them right at the counter.
