This item has a dual designation in our documentation: it is listed as size 109 and also carries the reference 2-110. Dual designations like this occur in the spare parts business when manufacturers and suppliers use different size series. We state both instead of leaving one out and keeping you guessing – the part number H.1.018 is binding for your order.
The material is EPDM with 70 Shore A, the proven standard for hot water and steam. What sets it apart from the thin rings of the same family is its sturdier build: it seals larger gaps and therefore belongs on threaded fittings that have to withstand a bit more.
Water leaks from a threaded fitting even though it is firmly tightened. When removed, the old ring is stiff, can no longer be stretched or keeps its flattened shape. It is torn in one place. Or work is being done at this very point anyway and the ring is replaced as planned.

The ring belongs at a sealing point inside the machine that may be under pressure. Before opening, the machine is depressurised; after installation, it is checked for leaks. We don't provide step-by-step instructions: since the position is only listed in general terms, we wouldn't know which threaded fitting you have in front of you – and guesswork instructions are worse than none.
For service companies and technically skilled people who order from the service documentation. If you're looking at a dual designation and aren't sure whether you have the right part, you've come to the right place: we have included both references so that your search pays off.
The G1/8M swivel fitting with O-ring is also supplied with an O-ring – our documentation does not show whether it is the same ring, so compare the numbers before ordering. From the same series we stock the EPDM O-ring 113. More seals can be found in the Original spare parts section, and the brand's full range in the La Marzocco accessories and spare parts section.
From our workshop in Bern and Zurich: For parts with a dual designation, we always note both numbers on the job card, even if only one was ordered. At the next service on the same machine, this saves half an hour of searching through old drawings. This is our own routine, not a manufacturer requirement. And because seal days are quiet days, we like to pair them with Nutty Delight in a milky coffee while the machine builds up pressure. If you prefer it darker, go for Cozy Chocolate; everything else is in Coffee beans.
No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold once they have been installed or test-fitted on a machine. So before ordering, check your machine's model, year of manufacture and serial number – or drop us a quick message and we'll clarify the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.
Because our documentation lists both: 109 and 2-110. We state both so that you can find the item even if your document uses the other designation. H.1.018 is binding.
We can't confirm that. Our documentation doesn't show it, so we don't claim it. Compare the numbers or ask us.
Size and material determine the price. This item is more sturdily built than the thin rings with a 1.78 mm cross-section.
Our documentation doesn't name an installation location, and we don't invent one. Tell us which drawing the number comes from and we'll assign it.
Yes. Come to our showroom in Bern at Gerberngasse 44 or in Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b. Bring the old ring with you and we'll measure it together.
