The lever group is the reason guests stop in front of a LEVA. Spring power instead of a pump, a lever you can feel. To keep it a show rather than a hazard, the group is fitted with protective covers – this one is the position with part number C.2.042.
It keeps fingers away from the moving parts and milk or coffee splashes away from the mechanism. An inconspicuous part that gets noticed in daily operation exactly when it is missing.
Cracks, dents or broken-out screw holes. The cover rattles when you pull the lever. It is dull or discoloured because it once came into contact with the wrong cleaner. Or it is missing because it was not refitted after a service.

The lever group has several covers with similar names. The series: C.2.042 (this one) and C.2.046 as generally listed protective covers, C.2.044 in a treated version, C.2.045 black for the front, C.2.043.SX and C.2.043.DX as Plexiglas left and right. We put the number in every title so that nobody orders the wrong one.
For businesses with a LEVA in the guest area and for service companies overhauling a lever group. If you have the group open anyway, replace damaged covers at the same time – they are the cheapest part of the whole assembly.
The other covers: C.2.046, C.2.044 treated, C.2.045 black front, Plexiglas left and Plexiglas right. Plus the screw for the protective cover and the plastic surround for the front panel. Everything for the machine under La Marzocco LEVA spare parts.
Workshop tip from Bern and Zurich
This is our routine, not a manufacturer requirement: at every service on a LEVA we briefly check the covers by hand for cracks around the screw holes. That is exactly where it starts, and a hairline crack quickly grows under the movement of the lever. Meanwhile, we run Nutty Delight through the lever machine – more under Coffee beans.
No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or a trial fitting on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a quick message and we will clarify the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.
The manufacturer's list shows both as a protective cover for the group without naming any distinguishing feature. We therefore do not claim one and put the number in the title. Your service documentation is authoritative.
No. The positions explicitly listed as Plexiglas are C.2.043.SX left and C.2.043.DX right. Both are linked above.
No, the cover is supplied on its own. The matching screw is a separate position.
Warm water and a soft cloth. No abrasives, no solvent-based cleaners – they turn any plastic cover cloudy. That is our experience from behind the counter, not a manufacturer specification.
Yes. We have two locations: Bern at Gerberngasse 44 and Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b. Drop us a quick message and we will have it ready.
