The lever group of the LEVA has two transparent covers on its sides. They let you see the spring mechanism while keeping fingers away. This one is the right-hand cover, part number C.2.043.DX – in the Italian spare parts system, DX stands for destra.
If you only order one side, check beforehand which one is actually damaged. Viewed from the front, right is the side on your right hand – if in doubt, look at the number, which is usually on the part itself or in the service documentation.
The pane is cloudy, scratched or yellowed. A hairline crack runs from the screw hole. It rattles because the mounting has worn loose. Cracked plexiglass should be replaced, not glued – it keeps splintering under movement.

This position is exclusively the right-hand side. The left one has C.2.043.SX. In addition, there are four more covers on the same group: C.2.042 and C.2.046 general, C.2.044 treated and C.2.045 black for the front. All are linked below and carry the number in the title.
For businesses with their LEVA in the guest area, and for service companies that replace both side panes together when overhauling the lever group. Visually, that's the difference between “serviced” and “patched up”.
The counterpart is the left plexiglass cover. Also the screw for the lever group protective cover as well as C.2.045 black front and C.2.046. The side panels of the lever group are available as left panel and right panel. Everything for the machine under La Marzocco LEVA spare parts.
Workshop tip from Bern and Zurich
This is our routine, not a manufacturer's specification: when screwing on plexiglass, we never tighten it all the way. The material moves with heat, and a tightly fastened pane cracks at the screw hole first. Hand-tight is enough. Meanwhile, we're drinking Nutty Delight; more under Coffee beans.
No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are procured specifically for your order and cannot be resold once they have been installed or test-fitted on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a quick message and we'll clarify the fit together. Your statutory rights regarding defective goods remain unaffected.
DX stands for destra, i.e. right; SX for sinistra, left. This position is the right-hand side.
No, they are mirror-image parts with their own numbers. The left one is linked above.
We advise against it. Plexiglass keeps cracking under movement, and on a spring-loaded lever group a splintering protective part is the last thing you want.
We have no verified information on this, so we don't state a dimension. The number C.2.043.DX is what counts.
Yes. We have two locations: Bern at Gerberngasse 44 and Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b. Drop us a quick message and we'll have it ready for you.
