The GS3 is a machine people look at. It usually stands where guests sit, in the kitchen or in the office, and that is exactly why every scratch on the side cover stands out immediately. Plastic is less forgiving than sheet metal: a corner that has once knocked against the worktop stays visible.
This left side cover is the original part for the anthracite plastic version. The parts list explicitly notes «including sheet metal» – so the cover comes with the supporting sheet metal behind it, not as a bare plastic shell.
The side cover has a crack, a broken corner or a screw mount that has torn out. It no longer sits flush and sticks out at one edge. The plastic is deformed in one spot because something hot stood against it. Or the machine is being refreshed after years and should look like it did on the first day again.

Behind the side cover lie the internals of the GS3 with mains voltage, boiler and hot water. Before removing it, switch the machine off, disconnect it from the mains and let it cool down. Plastic needs a light touch when tightening: if you tighten the screws with force, you tear out the mounts, and then the new part will not hold either.
For GS3 owners who want to keep their machine looking good, and for service workshops preparing a GS3 for resale.
The opposite side is the right side cover. For mounting you need the chrome screw for the standard side panel and the brass nut M8 × 3; for the glass version there is the chrome screw for the glass side panel. Everything for the machine under La Marzocco GS3 spare parts.
Workshop tip from Bern and Zurich
This is our routine, not a manufacturer specification: we always fit a new plastic side cover with just two screws first, close the machine as a test and look at the gap to the front in raking light. Only when it is even do the remaining screws go in. Meanwhile, Cozy Chocolate is in the pot. More under Coffee beans.
No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are sourced specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or a test fitting on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a quick message and we will clarify the fit together. Your rights in the event of defective goods remain unaffected.
Because the parts list does not give one for this item – in its place there is only the note «including sheet metal». We do not make up a number. If you have a number from your service documentation, send it to us and we will cross-check it.
Yes, that is how the parts list lists it. The plastic cover is delivered together with the sheet metal behind it.
No. This item is the left side cover. The right one is a separate item and linked above.
The GS3 comes in several versions, including with glass side panels. This item is the plastic version in anthracite. If in doubt, send us the serial number and we will check the fit.
Yes. We have two locations: Bern at Gerberngasse 44 and Zurich at Hagenholzstrasse 50b. Drop us a quick message and we will have it ready for you.
