In most venues, the grinder or the clearing station stands to the right of the KB90. That is where pucks are knocked out, where jugs are set down, where the service trolley goes past. Chrome-plated sheet metal can take that for a long time – but at some point every dent shows in the light of the bar.
This right side panel in chrome is the original part for it, listed by La Marzocco under part number C.1.422.DX.GR. “DX” stands for right, “GR” identifies the chrome version.
The panel is dented or bent open at the edge. The chrome plating is dull or has flaked off, often after contact with harsh cleaning agents. A fixing point has torn out and the panel rattles during operation. Or the machine is being refurbished after years of service.

Behind the panel are the internals of the KB90, with mains voltage, boiler and hot water. Before removal, the machine is switched off, disconnected from the mains and left to cool down. When screwing it on, first fit all screws loosely, then align, then tighten – this keeps the joints neat.
For venues with a KB90 whose right flank has suffered, and for service workshops refurbishing a machine.
The opposite side is the left side panel in chrome; in red, the same part is available for the left and the right. At the back, it joins the KB90 2-group back panel in chrome, and on the steam knob sit the cap and the spacer sleeve. Everything for the machine under La Marzocco KB90 spare parts.
Workshop tip from Bern and Zurich
This is our routine, not a manufacturer requirement: if the grinder stands to the right of the machine, we place a narrow strip of rubber matting in between when setting up. It costs nothing and prevents exactly the dents that later lead to a panel being replaced. And to go with it, an espresso made with Cozy Chocolate. More under Coffee beans.
No returns
Original spare parts are excluded from exchange and return. They are procured specifically for each order and cannot be resold after installation or test fitting on the machine. So before ordering, check the model, year of manufacture and serial number of your machine – or drop us a quick line and we will clarify the fit together. Your rights in the case of defective goods remain unaffected.
DX designates the right side, GR the chrome version. The red version of the same side is listed under C.1.422.DX, i.e. without GR.
No. The right panel is supplied. The left side is a separate item and is linked above.
Technically there is nothing against it, visually there is. If you only replace one side, you should choose the version of the other side – otherwise the machine has two faces.
No. The panel is supplied. Screws and plastic profiles are separate items.
