Sliding in straight instead of twisting in: the Straight-In portafilter of the La Marzocco KB90 is guided into the group head in one straight movement.
La Marzocco developed the Straight-In system for the KB90 to simplify the movements at the group head and to reduce strain at high throughput. This original portafilter has a two-spout outlet and is supplied with a retaining spring but without a filter basket.
It fits the La Marzocco KB90 only. You choose the basket to match your dose and recipe. Our opinion is one of many: we extract by weight ratio, with 1:2 as a starting point, and let the taste decide.
