The Mignon Specialità SMART takes the popular Specialità and gives it a touch display that makes the burr distance visible. For the demanding home coffee bar as well as for the small café. Burrs Distance Detection – see the zero point
Eureka's patented Burrs Distance Detection System shows the actual distance between the burrs in real time. This way, you find the zero point precisely and can reproduce any grind setting – instead of feeling your way. The Smart Technology goes a step further: You enter your desired extraction time on the touch display, and the grinder guides you to the appropriate grind setting – for espresso, moka, filter, or French Press. A digital recipe book stores your favorite settings.
55 mm burrs and quiet operation
The 55 mm flat burrs made of hardened steel are designed for both espresso and filter and deliver a consistent grind – around 1.8 to 2.5 grams per second for espresso, about 2.5 to 3.2 grams per second for filter. The direct drive with 310 watts rotates at 1350 revolutions per minute. Retention is around half a gram. The Silent Technology makes it one of the quieter grinders in its class, the ACE system (Anti-Clump & Electrostaticity) reduces clumps and static charge.
Operation and Workflow
The 2.8-inch multi-color touch display guides you through two programmable doses, an extra-dose and continuous grinding mode, as well as single-dose operation, each with a timer. The grind is steplessly and micrometrically adjusted. The metal portafilter fork is robust, height-adjustable, and holds the portafilter hands-free; the 300-gram bean hopper with metal tab can optionally be extended to 510 grams.

Do I need an app?
No. The smart operation runs completely via the 2.8-inch touch display on the grinder, including a recipe book and grind setting guidance. No app and no connection are needed.

Can I see it before buying?

With the visible burr distance and the recipe book, you can quickly find your setting again – ideal if you switch between espresso and filter. For a round, chocolatey-nutty profile, use Cozy Chocolate or Nutty Delight, 1:2 as a starting point. If you like maximum body without acidity, try Very Nutty; for a fruity filter experience, Wild Peach. This is our recommendation, one of many.
